The Little Italy Spine
Community Center

- The project is designing a community center that includes several different programs like library, study and auditorium space, cafe, community clinic, and entertainment space for the Little Italy neighborhood. The design of the project aims to create a unique relationship between the interior and exterior public space, and each program space aims to offer its own unique spatial experience.  



Spatial Exploration










- When there is a shift between the program type (study, food service, entertainment, health service) a reflecting pond will be added to imply the change in the program

- The connecting bar for the community center also serves as a gallery space that can display artworks for the community
