The studio project is separated into two parts: the first is to design an artist studio on the northwest roof parts of the Old Chicago post office, and the second part is to introduce an architecture intervention to the old post office that reshapes the post office into a new public space.












This is a quick light study and design exercise for the class. I designed an observation tower with a dynamic roof sunlight shading/filtering mechanism.
